Here’s a little secret that women like keep from us guys: Women, even very beautiful women, want to be approached by an interesting and confident man. Are you shocked? It’s true…and being confident and interesting are more important than looks to women of all ages. It’s also true for online dating, as well as, dating in the real world but we’re talking about Internet dating here…so back to the subject at hand.
Once you’ve joined an online dating service, you‘ll find that there are a lot more men than women and that men are more likely to browse profiles and make first contacts than women. Yes, it’s a man’s world…still. It’s been a “tradition” for men to make the initial move. It always has been and it always will be. Some things will never change. That’s why your profile and picture are so important.
Remember…be confident and interesting…. and that doesn’t mean to be cocky and inconsiderate. Your profile should let people know that you have friends you care about and that you are interested in a variety of things…not JUST sports. Another thing about that all-important profile…. don’t start it with, “I’m the guy your mother warned you about”.
You’ll just shot yourself in the foot with that line. Another one never use is, “I’m the man of your dreams”. The lady HOPES you are, but she’ll be the judge of that…so don’t insult her intelligence. Remember…. confidence and interesting and you’ll find that lady you’ve been looking for…or she’ll find you.
Won’t it be nice to have the women contacting you instead of you having to do it all the time? If you write an interesting profile that shines out in the dark, that’ll happen.
