A Few Online Dating Activities

Everyday activities are growing more and more popular online these days, for example: sharing pictures and greeting cards. In fact, both of these go together with online dating opportunities, one of the most popular online activities for singles.

Before you actually meet in person, many dates get known online first. Here’s how.

Pictures - As a keepsake of your sprouting romance, create an online photo album for your new cyber-mate. Add digital pictures of your favorite outdoor scenery, pets, flowers, cars, funny moments, etc. You’ll have more to talk about during your online dates via emails and chat rooms. Search for “photo albums” to find places that store your photos.

Greeting Cards- It doesn’t matter where the person lives; you can send a greeting card. If privacy and security is an issue, look into renting a cheap P.O. Box (check the Yellow Pages). You don’t have to be a craftsman to make something homemade and thoughtful for your new friend. Even making a, unique greeting card would be appreciated and show your new friend that you care enough to take the time to make something by hand. Take a look through your favorite search engine for online greeting cards to send. They are free but you there is some at low cost and can be sent in a click.

Some Popular Online Dating Activities

Some popular online activities are sharing recipes and bidding at auctions. Both of these easily fit well into online dating opportunities, one of the most popular online activities for singles today.

To help many dates get better acquainted online, here’s what potential cyber-dates may do.

Sharing Recipes – People get tired talking about the weather it’s to repetitive. A popular subject you can turn to is food. Sharing your favorite foods and recipes can help break the ice and even form friendships over culinary skills – or lack of – and tastes. Search your favorite search engine for “free recipes” to share. Take photos of your culinary creations and share them with your date, too.

Bidding at Auctions – Ebay auctions sell pretty much anything and everything! So surf around and enter searches like the dates you were in middle school. Share some childhood memory photos of old games, toys, and cool things that you did and maybe show some embarrassing ones too; The Dating Game, Oscar Mayer wiener whistles, The Partridge Family Album, Bobby Sherman’s Album, 45’s and more.

Online dating can be an educational and fun experience. So learn more about each other and have fun while you’re at it. Take a cyber-stroll down memory lane together and see what’s cooking. You never know you might even find whom your looking for in life on the net.

Growing An Online Relationship

Just like the relationships in the real world, online relationships need tending, to grow over time. Here are some quick tips to look over.

1. Take time and make time. Does your online date get in touch with you on a regular basis? Do you do the same? Neglecting virtual meetings may be considered abuse or neglect, so treat each other and each other’s time with respect. If it’s not working too well, it may be time to move on.

2. Communication has to “Feel” right between both of you. If one of you is too pushy about wanting to meet, for example, that can give off a bad vibe. So don’t rush, take your time. Take time to communicate and learn more about each other and develop confidence and trust for one another.

3. Respect each other’s boundaries and privacy. Don’t share personal email addresses, passwords, or digital photos online, for example, if your online date sent you a private message or picture.

4. Share your online and offline excitement. Online – send greeting cards, links to favorite places to upload movies of your favorite digital photos, download music and video clips, post on favorite forums. Offline- if you’re exchanging addresses, send greeting cards and postcards, or small gift from your area (like something special from your area).

Tend to your online relationship. Water your relationship with care and over time you’ll see it sprout and grow.
